Emergency Health Passport

Passeport santé d'urgence — a portable, patient-controlled emergency summary.

This page is a placeholder skeleton only. It is not medical advice, not a clinical record, and not ready for production or emergency use. No real health information is collected, stored, cached, or displayed today.

Future direction: offline-first emergency passport

A real Emergency Health Passport must render from local client storage even when the API or network is unavailable — not only after a successful fetch. Future versions will cache a patient-approved snapshot on device (with explicit consent), show a freshness indicator (placeholder max trusted age: 30 days), and support patient-controlled sharing via QR code and time-limited links. The shared TypeScript contract EmergencyHealthPassportSnapshot in @sante1/types defines the future snapshot shape. The passport will be a Care Graph projection — linked to care team and episode nodes, not a standalone app. See docs/architecture/emergency-health-passport-offline-contract.md and docs/architecture/care-graph.md in the repo.

Demo only — do not use in a real emergency

In an actual emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. This skeleton previews how Sante1 may help patients carry critical information — on their terms, in multiple languages — for first responders and clinicians when every second counts.

Future vision: patient-controlled, multilingual, portable

You decide what goes in your passport, who can see it, and for how long. Future versions aim to support secure sharing (QR code, time-limited links) and readable summaries in French, English, and additional languages for travel and cross-border care.

Standards alignment (placeholder): future implementations may draw on FHIR and the IPS / International Patient Summary for interoperable emergency summaries — not implemented in this skeleton.
